Our Obedience Training Philosophy

Obedience is the fundamental requirement for proper communication with your dog, whether it’s retriever training or just having a wonderful family pet. We use a balanced approach and tag positive reinforcement or negative reinforcement in a timely manner, which is within 1.5 seconds, so that each dog understands the actions we either want or don’t want.

Our program focuses on:

  • Teaching dogs how to succeed under distraction
  • Creating obedience that holds up outside the kennel, not just in controlled settings
  • Ensuring owners understand how to maintain results at home

We train dogs to be confident, responsive, and controllable — not shut down or shy. This goes for all dogs, not just retrievers. Many of our dogs are being trained just to be better pets and for overall family dog obedience.
