Our Obedience Training Philosophy

Obedience is the fundamental requirement for proper communication with your dog, whether in retriever training or just having a wonderful family pet. We use a balanced approach and tag positive reinforcement or negative reinforcement in a timely manner, within 1.5 seconds, so that each dog understands the actions we want or don’t want.

Our program focuses on:

  • Building engagement and trust
  • Teaching dogs how to succeed under distraction
  • Creating obedience that holds up outside the kennel, not just in controlled settings
  • Ensuring owners understand how to maintain results at home

We train dogs to be confident, responsive, and controllable — not shut down or shy. This goes for all dogs, not just retrievers. Many of our dogs are being trained just to be better pets for overall family dog obedience.
